“ Great location for a decent meal during a beach day. Pasta is quality, and the panini bread is delicious. Wait times can vary, we dined on both Saturday and Sunday (Sunday was hectic and waited ages). Again, not just limited to this venue but a 400ml draft beer can't be that expensive (€6) ”

“ Our favorite Lido in Tropea. Very clean and organized. The staff was amazing . Always smiling, forthcoming, polite, helpful and very proactive. We spend the day at the beach and had lunch at their restaurant with a beautiful sea view, and repetead the next day. The food was delicious. In particular I recommend the tunna tartar, the pasta con alici and zafferano and the trio of Tropea Onion. We tasted other dishes as well and they were all very tasty. Do not miss the chilled Vechio Amaro del Capo or bergamotto liqueur. ”

The food’s good, but the portions are on the very stingy side. €18 for eight bites of cod sold as baccalà is, let’s say, optimistic. And €4.50 for a non-alcoholic beer? Practically London prices. Less would be more my guess. ”
